Frequently Asked Questions
We service all over Victoria. No matter distance for us.
This will depend on a number of factors, including the area to be installed, whether you are installing stairways, whether you need existing floor coverings removed, whether your home or office has furniture that will need to be moved. A lot of customers also often do not factor in flooring wastage which can be as high as 10% in many homes, due to the dimensions of the rooms.
Our installers will remove your existing floor coverings and dispose them off-site. The cost of old floor take-up and removal will be provided upfront when you book in your flooring installation with our team.
Whilst many installers will shy away from jobs that require removing furniture, our team of installers include a number of two-man teams, who can carefully move your furniture and return it to position once the floor has been installed.
This is the preparation of the original flooring (concrete slab, wood subfloor) before starting installation. If there are humps, we grind down them. If there are large pits, they are filled with Sand mix or Self-level compounds.
We never have extra markups or hidden prices.
ATTENTION!! It is very important to remember and understand what Floor preparation is. We are not able to give you a floor prep price if there is “existing” flooring. The price for straightening floors can only be known when the old flooring has been removed!
Our professional installers have experience installing all types of flooring such as Hardwood engineered timber, Laminate, Hybrid, Vinyl flooring and more.
We pride ourselves on our expert installers. All jobs are meticulously planned to minimise joins and maximise the life and wear of your new floor. All floors are installed according to the Australian Standards by our own fully qualified and insured installers.
Each installation is a separate project. The time spent on the installation depends upon the complexity and the volume of work. It is advisable to ask this question directly at the moment when the work is being evaluated. But again, remember that we are not magicians, and we cannot know how well the previous work has been done by prior companies or homeowners. You should always keep in mind that there may be a time lag. And when a person evaluates, unfortunately, they cannot be 100% sure. We always recommend adding approximately 1-4 days for miscellaneous details that are not always visible.
We are obligated to honor a 1-year installation warranty. We are very confident in what kind of service we provide, so for all our clients we still have added 1 additional year to this guarantee. We give you a 2-year warranty on the installation we do!
Glued-down floors are wood floors. During the installation process, special glue for the wood floor is used. This is a laborious process, because the glue tends to dry out and if used improperly, the wood simply may not stick, then the next day if you knock on the floors, you will hear a hollow sound. This is an indicator of incorrect installation!
